Cucuk Sanggul is a traditional hairpin worn by Malay, nyonya, Indian, and Straits Portuguese. It is used to secure and to decorate the hair. For use on a bride, cucuk sanggul can get quite elaborate with a number of them carefully position in the crown.

The framed object is made of Malaysian pewter in antique rhodium plating.
